2022 Consumer Finance Legal Conference

Join McGlinchey’s industry-leading Consumer Financial Services Compliance and Litigation teams, colleagues from complementary practice groups, and guest speakers for three fast-paced days of engaging programming addressing important topics affecting the consumer financial services industry. We will provide highly relevant content tailored to address the most pressing concerns of lenders, finance companies, and servicers nationwide. 

This year’s conference will take place from Wednesday, October 19 – Friday, October 21, 2022, in New Orleans. This year’s agenda will feature a combination of large plenary presentations, interactive workshop discussions, and social and networking opportunities.

CFPB Report Is A Warning To Consumer Debt Collectors

On April 15, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau issued its annual report on the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. The report not only looks back at the number and type of debt collection complaints the bureau received in 2021, but also identifies specific debt collection activities that the bureau targeted in the past year.
