2023 MBA Compliance and Risk Management Conference

Two McGlinchey attorneys will present during the Mortage Bankers Association (MBA) Compliance and Risk Management Conference in Washington, DC, September 10-12, 2023.

On Sunday, September 10, 2023, Member Shaun Ramey (Nashville) will facilitate the following panels during the Litigation Forum:

  • “RESPA/TILA and Key Cases and Trends” will provide an overview of recent cases and litigation pertaining to the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), and key state cases that impact compliance responsibilities with a focus on those that may indicate federal trends.
  • “TCPA/Marketing and Fair Lending” will highlight recent cases and litigation developments related to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and marketing trends and Fair Lending.
  • “FCRA, FDCPA, and Bankruptcy” will feature recent cases and litigation developments relating to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and Bankruptcy.

On Tuesday, September 12, Member Jim Milano (Washington, DC)will join the closing “Super Session” regulatory compliance panel, featuring top legal and compliance experts addressing legislation and litigation as well as regulatory requirements.
