3 Areas Mid-Law Managing Partners Are Focused On In 2023
Read Time: 1 minMichael Ferachi, McGlinchey’s Managing Member, was one of three interviewed and quoted in a story in Law360 Pulse about leadership’s predictions and focus areas for mid-sized firms in 2023.
McGlinchey Stafford PLLC managing member Michael Ferachi said that one of the ways his firm works to lure prospective talent is by heavily focusing on culture, mentioning a “ministry of fun,” at the firm that helps organize things ranging from NFL pools, work-life balance discussions and even office pranks to keep the atmosphere pleasant.
“The vibe is the key to attracting people,” he said. “We know there’s lots of great firms for attorneys to work at, so we try and get them to visit and experience our culture and what it’s like to be here.”
Ferachi added that the flexible work model it’s adopted since the beginning of the pandemic has helped both increase the firm’s attractiveness and the range of locations where it can hire new attorneys.
For example, he said that although McGlinchey Stafford’s New York City office is in midtown Manhattan, it has been able to hire attorneys from all over the area who otherwise might not have joined if they were required to commute every day.
