Kristi W. Richard Completes Baton Rouge Area Leadership Program

McGlinchey Stafford PLLC is pleased to announce Associate Kristi W. Richard has been honored as a graduate of the Baton Rouge Area Leadership Program Class of 2015. The program, established by the Baton Rouge Area Chamber, graduated 38 participants in a ceremony June 2 in Baton Rouge.
“It is an honor for one of our outstanding lawyers to be recognized among this esteemed group of business and community leaders in Baton Rouge,” said Jean-Paul Perrault, Managing Member of McGlinchey Stafford’s Baton Rouge office. “Kristi is an exceptionally talented leader who will undoubtedly help shape the future of our community. We are incredibly proud of her achievements and leadership to make Baton Rouge a better place to live and work,” Perrault added.
Richard advises business clients, including small businesses, lenders, insurance companies, and producers regarding general business and corporate matters, insurance regulation and compliance issues, and commercial lending. She also advises clients in matters of Louisiana wills, trusts, and estates. Richard is an active member of several civic and professional organizations in Baton Rouge and serves as an Adjunct Professor of Sports Law and Business Law at the E.J. Ourso College of Business, Louisiana State University. She received her Juris Doctorate and Diploma in Comparative Law, magna cum laude, from LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center, and her Master of Business Administration from LSU’s Flores MBA Program in 2009.
Founded in 1985 by the Baton Rouge Area Chamber, the nine-month Baton Rouge Area Leadership Program identifies, trains, and promotes high-achieving individuals for positions of voluntary responsibility in Baton Rouge. The program aims to provide developing leaders with practical information concerning community issues and to establish a network among existing and emerging community leaders. The program’s 700-plus graduates serve in positions on civic and charitable boards and commissions and hold local and state public office. McGlinchey Stafford is proud to have seven graduates of the program among its ranks.
