Read Time: 2 minsMcGlinchey Stafford is pleased to announce that Benjamin P. Lajoie has joined the firm’s Enterprise Litigation and Investigations practice group as a Member (Partner) in Boston. Ben is one of 34 attorneys McGlinchey has brought on in 2023 as part of a focused hiring effort to expand its highly integrated team of best-in-class attorneys.
“I chose to join McGlinchey because of its effective and collaborative legal capabilities,” Ben said. “McGlinchey’s impressive national platform serves the needs of my clients well and its culture of collaboration promotes the continued expansion of my practice in the area of complex commercial litigation.”
Ben is an experienced commercial litigation and corporate attorney who solves his clients’ complex legal problems. Ben has defended manufacturing competitors from tortious interference and unfair/deceptive trade practice claims, as well as financial institutions in complex, multi-party litigation involving secured transactions, competing interests, counterclaims, and UCC remedies. He also represents life science, tech, and construction companies in disputes with vendors and contractors, out-of-state trust companies in subpoena enforcement actions, and beneficiary classes in breach of fiduciary duty claims.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ben to our growing team here in Boston,” said Shanna M. Boughton, Managing Member of McGlinchey’s Boston office. “Ben’s litigation skills and strategic approach to advising clients align with our commitment to providing high caliber legal services to our clients.”
Joining McGlinchey from a mid-sized Boston law firm, Ben approaches each matter by tuning in early to what matters most for the client and devoting his time accordingly. Clients rely on him to be their “path of least resistance” to a favorable outcome.
“Ben’s ability to design and execute solutions that match clients’ business and financial objectives will be an asset to McGlinchey,” said Dan Plunkett, chair of the firm’s Enterprise Litigation and Investigations team. “I’m glad to add a lawyer with his versatility and commitment to client success to our group.”
