Litigator Joshua Populus Joins McGlinchey in Baton Rouge

Populus to the firm’s Enterprise Litigation and Investigations practice as an associate attorney in its Baton Rouge office. Joshua’s hire comes as part of a focused recruitment initiative to expand McGlinchey’s nationally recognized team. McGlinchey hired 50 new attorneys firmwide in 2023.

Joshua litigates on behalf of large and small clients in Louisiana state, federal, and appellate courts. His practice focuses on matters spanning commercial litigation, insurance and casualty defense, and collections. With experience spanning the full litigation lifecycle, he has managed a high-volume caseload of commercial litigation, business law, probate, and insurance matters.

Previously, Joshua worked at a general civil litigation firm in Baton Rouge. During law school, he interned for the Louisiana Attorney General’s Litigation Division and worked for a solo practitioner in general civil litigation.
Licensed to practice in Louisiana, Joshua earned his J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where he also completed certificates in Social Justice and Law, Technology, and Entrepreneurship. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University.
