McGlinchey Adds 3 Maritime Lawyers in New Orleans
Read Time: 2 minsMcGlinchey is pleased to announce that admiralty and maritime Members (Partners) Marcelle Mouledoux and Kevin Frey and Associate Morgan Kelley have joined the firm’s Enterprise Litigation and Investigations practice group in New Orleans.
“We are excited that Marcelle, Kevin, and Morgan chose McGlinchey,” said Dan Plunkett, chair of the firm’s Enterprise Litigation and Investigations practice group. “Their specialized knowledge in admiralty and maritime law will bolster our transportation law practice nationwide, and particularly here in the gulf south.”
Prior to joining McGlinchey, Marcelle, Kevin, and Morgan practiced with Salley Hite Mercer & Resor in New Orleans.
With these hires, McGlinchey has brought on ten litigators firmwide in the Enterprise Litigation and Investigations practice group and nine new attorneys in New Orleans in 2022 (with more set to start before the end of December).

Marcelle focuses her practice in the areas of admiralty and maritime, insurance coverage, and professional liability. She has practiced for almost 20 years and represents vessel owners and facility owners in collision, allision, property damage, and personal injury cases. Additionally, she provides coverage opinions and represents insurance companies in declaratory judgments and direct actions.
With ten years of legal practice, Kevin also focuses on admiralty, maritime, and insurance defense litigation, with clients including tugboat owners, marine facilities, as well as grain, barge fleeting, and midstream buoy terminals.
Morgan has experience supporting maritime clients from litigation through trial. She counts multiple summary judgements and large-scale negotiations to her credit, and also counsels clients on related transactions, contracts, and special topics such as hurricane preparedness.

Marcelle earned her J.D. from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas in 2004. She has been recognized as a Louisiana Super Lawyers Rising Star in the area of insurance coverage and is licensed in Louisiana and Texas state and federal district courts, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court and Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Kevin moved to Louisiana in 2010 to attend Tulane University Law School, where he earned his J.D., magna cum laude, in 2013. While in law school, Kevin was a member of Tulane’s Moot Court Board and served as the Moot Court Boards Chairperson of the Judicial Council in his third year. He is licensed in Louisiana state and federal courts, as well the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Morgan graduated from Tulane University Law School in 2018 with a Maritime Law Certificate. She completed a clerkship with the Admiralty & Aviation Division at the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington and was awarded the Best Notes & Comments Editor for her work with the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. Morgan is licensed in Louisiana’s state and federal courts, as well as the Western District of Arkansas and Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. She was recognized as a Louisiana Super Lawyers Rising Star in transportation/maritime law.
