McGlinchey Attorneys Co-Author the 2022 Consumer Financial Services Answer Book
Read Time: 2 minsMembers of McGlinchey’s Consumer Financial Services Compliance and Litigation teams once again authored several chapters of the 2022 edition of the leading desk reference in consumer financial services law, Practising Law Institute’s (PLI) Consumer Financial Services Answer Book. In addition, McGlinchey Member Thomas M. Hanson (Dallas) co-edited the book, as he has since the book’s initial publication in 2011.
The 2022 edition of the leading desk reference for consumer financial services lawyers and compliance professionals has been extensively revised and reorganized to bring readers up to speed on all the significant changes in the law since the last edition. Returning to a user-friendly single-volume format, the Consumer Financial Services Answer Book continues to give readers a core understanding of the relevant laws, expert practice tips, and insight into emerging issues.
The new edition contains a fully updated chapter on Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Enforcement, explaining the Bureau’s structure, the scope of its authority, the procedures it follows in enforcement investigations and actions, and what to expect and how to respond to CFPB investigations and enforcement actions. For those focused on mortgage lending and servicing, the new edition includes significantly updated chapters on the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Mortgage Servicing Rules, and TRID, as well as Residential Foreclosures and Evictions. Revised chapters on Credit Cards, Military Lending and Loan Relief, and Fair Lending/Non-Discrimination address three other important coverage areas.
McGlinchey attorneys authored or co-authored the following chapters:
- Chapter 3: Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Mortgage Servicing Rules, and TRID – Thomas Hanson [Click here to view a preview of this chapter]
