McGlinchey Brings On Ex-PennyMac Assistant GC In Calif.

Member Ben Gross (Irvine) was profiled in Law360 on August 11, 2022. He discussed moving to McGlinchey, the impact of technology on the financial industry, and bringing an in-house counsel point of view to the table.

During my time with PennyMac we worked with outside counsel at a number of different firms. However, the attorneys and project managers at McGlinchey always impressed me with their ability to work through complex issues in a collaborative manner, Ben said.

With the rapid pace of change in the financial industry driven by technology, whether it’s development of new software platforms to replace aging legacy systems or fintech companies pushing the boundaries of blockchain, having a background in data analytics and software development helps me better understand a client’s needs and discuss with stakeholders how existing regulations affect them, he said.
