McGlinchey Receives Top Performer and Compass Award Distinctions for Commitment to Legal Diversity

McGlinchey is pleased to announce it has been recognized with the 2021 Top Performer and Compass Award designations by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD). These distinctions illustrate McGlinchey’s commitment to LCLD’s mission of creating a truly diverse legal profession.

“Although we have always sought innovation to improve our operations, the launch of #McGlincheyForward has strengthened our focus on evolving for the future,” said Michael Ferachi, Managing Member. “Diversity, equity, and inclusion is a pillar of how we move forward to better serve our clients and advance the legal profession.”

This is the firm’s fourth recognition as a Top Performer by LCLD and its second time to receive the Compass Award. Annually since 2010, a McGlinchey attorney has participated in the LCLD Fellows program which aims to identify, train, and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession. Since 2019, the firm has had an attorney participate in the LCLD Pathfinders program for diverse, high-potential, early-career attorneys at LCLD Member organizations. McGlinchey also has offered an annual 1L Fellowship through the LCLD Scholars program every year since 2012. The Fellowship is offered to a first-year law student and includes a $5,000 scholarship, a paid Summer Associate position, and formal mentorship from McGlinchey attorneys throughout the student’s law school career.

“McGlinchey is a place that encourages diversity of thought, engenders a culture of trust, and fosters leadership in our employees,” said Eliska Plunkett, Chief Diversity Officer. “We are proud to again receive these recognitions from our colleagues in the LCLD.”

McGlinchey has been active with the LCLD since its founding in 2009 and is one of 60 organizations to receive both honors this year. LCLD is a growing organization of more than 320 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners. The Top Performer and Compass Awards recognize LCLD’s most active member organizations.
