Read Time: 2 minsMcGlinchey Stafford is pleased to announce that it has moved its Boston office in the city’s downtown. From this new location in Boston’s Beacon Hill District, the firm is poised to serve existing and potential clients and attract new attorneys to join its thriving workplace culture.
McGlinchey doubled its office footprint with this move into more than 8,000 square feet on the 16th floor of One Beacon Street. At 505 feet, it is one of Boston’s tallest buildings, and is also the home of the UMass Club.
The office’s location, which is convenient to clients as well as courthouses and public transportation, motivated McGlinchey to make this move. Employees were also drawn to its updated interior and modern amenities.
“We are thrilled with our new space at One Beacon. This move affords us room to grow our team and to expand the services we offer clients nationwide from here in Boston,” said Shanna Boughton, Managing Attorney of McGlinchey’s Boston Office. “This premier location allows for easy office access for our clients, employees, and visitors. It also boasts stunning views of the Boston Harbor and the Bunker Hill Monument, as well as other iconic Boston landmarks. We are looking forward to growing McGlinchey’s Massachusetts and New England presence in this beautiful space.”
McGlinchey’s Boston office opened in 2019. Its attorneys assist clients in complex disputes in a variety of industries. The team has particular experience in financial services litigation, commercial litigation, class action defense, insurance defense, as well as construction, products liability, and toxic torts. Expanding its presence in New England, the firm opened its 17th office in Providence in 2022.
“McGlinchey is especially proud of our workplace culture that prioritizes our people and their well-being,” said Michael Ferachi, McGlinchey’s Managing Member. “We are proud to offer flexible schedules as well as inviting office atmospheres in attractive locations to recruit high caliber attorneys and professionals to join our team.”
McGlinchey’s latest move is part of the firm’s continued, significant growth nationwide, both in footprint and service areas. It is in line with the firm’s ongoing strategy to attract like-minded attorneys who want large firm resources with a friendly, small firm atmosphere. As highlighted in this recent podcast episode, promotions from within are encouraged, and lateral attorneys have many opportunities to assume responsibility and advance through the firm ranks. The firm is proud to offer its people flexibility through hybrid working arrangements while welcoming and enjoying having its people in the office.
The firm has focused on building a thriving, diverse workplace culture, and its efforts have been recognized in many ways. McGlinchey was recognized among the 30 “Best Law Firms for Women” by Firsthand’s 2023 Vault Survey, where it was ranked among some of the largest law firms nationwide. The firm was named a 2022 Top Performer and Compass Award recipient by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), and its New Orleans office was recognized among the “Best Places to Work” in the city for 2021 and 2022.
McGlinchey is also enrolled in the Midsize Mansfield certification, a rigorous program which aims to afford underrepresented attorneys better access to jobs, career advancement, and leadership in law firms. McGlinchey is proud that half of its office leadership roles and 40 percent of its executive policy committee roles are held by diverse attorneys.
