McGlinchey’s Lajoie Recognized as Massachusetts Up & Coming Lawyer
Read Time: 2 minsMcGlinchey is pleased to announce Member Benjamin P. Lajoie will be honored with the 2024 “Up & Coming Lawyers” distinction by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly at their annual Excellence in the Law Event on Tuesday, March 19.

Ben advises various businesses – financial institutions, trusts, contractors, manufacturers, and others – in commercial litigation. He defends and prosecutes business torts, unfair and deceptive trade practices, contract disputes, fraud, and other claims, including lawsuits stemming from failed business deals. Ben navigates complex disputes with many variables, from counterclaims to cross-claims to subpoena enforcement actions and other related issues. His strategic approach to client advocacy and representation yields repeat clients who turn to him for help with critical decisions.
As a Steering Committee member for the Boston Bar Association’s Business and Commercial Litigation Section and formerly its Multidistrict Litigation and Class Actions Section, Ben has presented annually since 2020 and helped develop multi-disciplinary educational programming for the membership’s benefit. He is a member of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance. He is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) and a Committee Member for Business Torts & Unfair Competition Litigation, Commercial & Business Litigation, Construction Litigation, and Class Actions & Derivative Suits.
Ben has been recognized among the “Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Commercial Litigation” and was named a Massachusetts Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in Business Litigation, Class Action/Mass Torts: Plaintiff, Business/Corporate. He also completed a course in Venture Deals by Kauffman Fellows & Techstars in the Spring of 2021.
