The Road to Diversity, Equity, and Wellness
Read Time: 1 minWhen we talk about diversity and inclusion, one key concept that is often left out is equity. Equity refers to a state where everyone – regardless of their ethnic background, country of origin, age, physical ability, or gender – has a level playing field. When diversity, inclusion, and equity go together, our workforce is empowered and operates at its best.
On November 4, 2021, Mag Bickford (New Orleans), Camille Bryant (New Orleans), and Drew Patty (Baton Rouge) will co-present a seminar on the road to diversity, equity, and wellness for the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Louisiana Chapter.
This seminar is designed to drill down into the applicable law and practicalities of equity and wellness in the workplace. In addition, ESG (Environment, Social and Governance compliance) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) are related hot socio-legal topics that interface with DEI and compel action with in-house counsel in businesses of all sizes and types. Participants will learn how DEI intersects with these related topics and how to implement wellness action items that comply with Title VII and the other employment laws that impact these important projects.
The event will take place at Ralph’s on the Park, and one hour of CLE credit will be available to attendees.
