This two-day presentation, beginning on Monday, February 26, and continuing on Tuesday, February 27, will focus on the benefits and practical and ethical issues of using a courtesy defense to represent former employees in litigation. Panelists will discuss the challenges of providing a courtesy defense to a former employee being deposed or testifying at trial in health care, transportation, employment, and premises liability. The first day’s presentation will focus on best practices, potential issues, pitfalls, etc., while the second day will focus on ethical issues that may arise.
