Jeffrey “Jeff” Seewald is an experienced trial lawyer who represents banks, mortgage companies, credit card companies, and financial services entities in consumer finance litigation in state and federal courts nationwide. He has extensive experience with federal statutes and regulations pertaining to consumer financial services, such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act (HOEPA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Regulation Z, Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA), as well as state unfair trade practices laws.
Jeff has deep experience defending class actions and has represented clients in class actions in state and federal courts nationwide. Jeff has also represented clients at the appellate level including before Texas courts of appeals and the Fifth, Sixth, and Eleventh federal Circuit Courts of Appeal.
Jeff’s clients include American Honda Finance and Toyota Finance. Prior to joining McGlinchey Stafford, he was in-house counsel with a major national bank.
