Jonathan G. Wilbourn is a member in the firm’s Baton Rouge office. His primary emphasis is on commercial litigation, with a focus on consumer finance litigation and general business litigation at both the trial level and the appellate level. Jonathan also represents businesses in a wide range of commercial lease disputes, contract disputes, and related commercial litigation matters.
Consumer Financial Services
A large part of Jonathan’s practice concerns consumer finance litigation. He has dealt with a number of federal statutes and regulations pertaining to consumer finance litigation, such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act (HOEPA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Regulation Z, Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA), as well as state unfair trade practices laws.
Tax Title Recovery
Jonathan also has extensive experience in handling tax title recovery claims on behalf of national mortgage lenders.
